It all began just a few years ago during a birthday celebration for founder Ardi Wilson.  Ardi and her husband Dick had been collecting bears for the Dream Factory Christmas Party for years.  They had both experienced, first hand, how these little stuffed buddies had brightened the fragile lives of children, ages 3 to 18 dealing with chronic or critical illnesses.

In lieu of gifts, Ardi asked that each of her birthday guests bring in a teddy bear for the charity.  Since then, Ardi has held a party with the cost of admission is one or like-new bear and the Wilson household has become a haven for bears of all sizes.  Ardi’s Bears is a not-for-profit organization and is a registered 502 Ó(3)

The mission of Ardi’s Bears is to collect and distribute bears to children with chronic or critical illnesses all across the world.

Our effort has been able to expand with great partners like Citizens Union Bank in Shelbyville, Kentucky. CUB employees have also donated their time in collecting, cleaning, and packaging the bears to be sent out in this very important effort.
